Paper Shredding Reduces Waste Too

Information and data are valuable. If it falls into the wrong hands then the consequences can be devastating. IT security is tight, but even in this day and age there’s still a need for paper records. When it comes to the point when these documents need to be disposed of it makes sense to do two things. Firstly this process must be confidential and secure, secondly it needs to be environmentally friendly. No one wants to contribute any unnecessary waste on top of what already occurs. Paper can be recycled and used again. Every kind of organization is becoming more environmentally aware and wants to proudly display its green credentials. It’s an increasingly important part of doing business.

Organisations hold all kinds of paper documents. They might contain personal information, financial records or details relating to new products and services. It’s absolutely essential to put systems in place for document shredding. In a larger organization, this is a huge job. A small business might be able to get away with a couple of desk top shredders, but this is different. Confidential paper shredding and recycling is required on an industrial scale.

Outsourcing to a specialist third party supplier of services makes perfect sense. They have robust systems for making sure confidential documents are first shredded and then recycled, ticking both boxes for customers. Data is one of the most valuable resources that any company owns and stores. Proper systems must be established to handle shredding and recycling of paper documents to protect information and reduce waste.
